Dennis Liwewe, a personality with a football commentary that greatly moved the world with his lively commentaries and critique for over four decades has died. He has died of liver ailment at the age of 78, family members have said.
Liwewe, who at one time was engaged by the BBC, has been a daring beyond the Zambia soils and has in fact covered over 14 Africa Cup finals. His respected voice in the commentary box earned him an awarded of the Order of Distinguished Service by first Zambian Republican President Kenneth Kaunda in 1977.
