2 Nigerian students deported from Canada after a year in hiding are heading back

After a lengthy battle and significant public outcry, the two Nigerian girls, Victoria Sharon Ordu and Ihuoma Favour Peace Amadi, studying in Canada who worked for two weeks at Walmart and were deported by Canada immigration, are scheduled to return to Regina, Canada this weekend.
Their trouble stemmed from the few weeks of work in 2011, not knowing it was not permitted under the terms of their student visas.
They are scheduled to arrive in Regina with their counsel (Kay Adebogun) from Toronto about 6pm local time.
It has been a long process and Canadian government conceded to the request of its citizens to allow these girls complete their studies.
The University of Regina especially the President and Vice Chancellor of the University (Dr Vianne Timmons), Dr Michelle Stewart (faculty) and Dr Sean Tucker, Parish Church Council & Members of the Anglican Church of the Redeemer, Regina, SK, Canada and a handful of other supporters in Regina and other places have been very supportive of the students throughout this ordeal.
As a result of their fight, effective June 01, 2014 international students are now be allowed to work off campus without a work permit.

  1. How wicked can some countries be. After spending all that dollars on tuition and accomodation, and yet you expect them not to seek work to support themselves?? How else were they meant to fend when they don't have a job? Prostitute or get into fraud??
All this restrictions should be relaxed when it comes to studying abroad.
