The
footballer allegedly assaulted an MTV presenter in Los Angeles

Cole is to be questioned by Los Angeles police after he allegedly assaulted
British television presenter and model Donatella Panayiotou.
“A battery report has been assigned to detectives from the
Hollywood division,” a spokesperson for the LAPD confirmed.
Police received the complaint on 31 May and now have 30 days to
investigate.
The Chelsea veteran reportedly threw champagne over Panayiotou
at a Lure nightclub in Hollywood, telling her, “You know what this is for!” the
Mirror reports.
The incident allegedly sparked a row which resembled “saloon
bar brawl”, one witness said. The two were celebrating the birthday of
basketball player Nick Young.
Other guests are said to have included rapper Drake and R&B
singer Brandy.
Former England player Cole was
left out of Roy Hodson’s World Cup squad and he has since retired from
international football. His contract
with Chelsea expires on 1 July, after spending eight years there.
He is currently on holiday in LA.
