British award-winning actor Idris Elba has congratulated the Black Stars of Ghana for the team's sterling performance against Germany in the second Group G match in Fortaleza Saturday night.
The cliffhanger between Germany and Ghana ended 2-2. The thrilling encounter witnessed goals from Dede Ayew and Asamoah Gyan for Ghana while Gotze and Miroslav Klose found the back of the net for Germany.
The 'Long Walk to Freedom' star, who was clearly glued to his TV set during the match, was brought up in the U.K. by his father Winston, who hails from Sierra Leone, and his Ghanaian mother, Eve.
Series of tweets from the actor monitored by Myjoyonline.com showed that he was clad in Ghana's national colours while watching the game.
