superstar singer, D'banj aka 'eja nla' or 'Bangalee' has parted ways with his manager, Tony Nwakalor. Tony's departure comes less than a year after he got the job. In fact, Tony, who used to handle the affairs of indigenous lyricist, Olamide, (Olamide Badoo) and that of Tonto Dike, the controversial Nollywood actress, is the second manager the self-styled entertainer would sack since his exit from Mo'Hits. He had earlier sacked his long time buddy, Seun Bankuli.
A source in the Koko Master's camp told us that Tony decided to call it quits with the hitmaker due to his eccentricities which were getting in the line of proposed businesses among other infractions. 'Things got so bad between Tony and Dbanj recently that Tony insulted him thoroughly. It was Dbanj's mother that settled the matter,' the source said.
But the truce lasted only for a short while as the relationship between artiste and manager broke down irreparably. While D'banj has now again recruited the services of Mo'Hits' former manager, Sunday Are to handle his booking and travel logistics, Tony is concentrating on his new entertainment outfit, Soundcore Media Limited.
