MINISTRY OF LABOUR AND PRODUCTIVITY AND THE REGISTRAR OF TRADE UNION DISSOLVED PRETTY OKAFOR'S PMAN FACTION AND 5 OTHERS ,SET UP NEW CARE TAKER COMMITTEE NEXT WEEK.

Recently a new PMAN faction led by Kenny George and one Zimakoy nominated pretty okafor to head their faction after getting a backdoor judgement from a criminal court. The high court consent judgements was declared invalid and of no consequences to PMAN by the Labour ministry last week  in an all warring factions meeting chaired by the permanent secretary representing the office of the Honourable Minister of Labour and presided over by the Director of Labour and Registrar of Trade Union. Some guys bought a dummy from a smart lawyer. There are processes to being a president of a Nation, union, association even a social group; a leader of such must be elected. At PMAN, the president emerges according to its constitution, when it’s been voted for via National Delegates conference by the National Executives council drawn from state chapters. In this case of Pretty Okafor’s back door judgements from the Federal High Court through Kenny George whose activities in the past were to sell the Union presidency to whom so ever can pay, we have his dossier on that and he was greatly challenged at the Abuja meeting last week. Well we might not be lawyers but we have been provided with facts and books that state the laws of Federal Republic of Nigeria and that of the Trade union under Ministry of employers, labour and productivity and unionism, if they study it very well, then they will know that what they are parading does not hold waters. Yes you can want to get away with it but it won’t last among the multitudes in the industry.  We at the forefront  of this whole matter knows  very well all that is going on underground and we are on it, but for Nigerians and some musicians who doesn't know and are wandering what is all dis we are saying, my people, soon you will all understand and then you will say well done. The era of fake court judgements from criminal court on PMAN cases has come to an end, they have no jurisdiction to preside over our matters, only when a singular member of the union commits an offence outside union matter, but in inter and intra union matters, it’s only the National Industrial court that has the right to judge our cases, that we know and study well. So many things has happened in d past month of a new faction ( faction number 5 o) that sprang up from the federal high court judgement, where pretty okafor was nominated not voted to head that interim government and that judgement did not say he should be president, nor collect money, nor sign deals on behalf of the union, but it says, bring all warring factions together, stabilise the union and organise a credible election that will usher in a new Government, that was what the judgement says, but they are acting contrary to the judgement they got, so far they have collected millions on behalf of the union ,open six different accounts and doing things they were not supposed to do on behalf of which musicians? Whose authority? we don’t know, so we did the right thing by taking the matter to Trade union and Labour that actually registered the union after trying to set the case aside for hearing and the judge kept adjourning it and they buying time to commits more wrongs. So the outcome of the labour decision was to dissolve all warring factions, create a new committee that will consist of all the factions and to be monitored by labour ministry and trade union and their primary duty is to organise a credible election and end the 12 years conflicts. Well of course they say no to it and that they must finish what they have started, and i ask this question, are you people doing this for the union or just to come and take your own share? all the warring factions swallowed their pride and say no to crisis of 12 years, but you guys say no, then it simply means yours too is to come and eat and go, we are happy you have sign deals for pman not on your names even though we know what went down , we are not bothered, easy come, easy go, we have been experiencing such before and it’s time to stop all that now, surely PMAN will outlive you and when you are out, the deals still remains with the union, thank you.  

Like I said the union will outlive us all but what matters is the Legacy we all should live behind and that is why we should do it right today.

Nigerian Musicians, all music stakeholders, music philanthropists, corporate organisations and all music lovers in Nigeria, we know the union has disappointed you in that past with its conflicts here and there, we know it’s your wish to see that glorious PMAN back and that we are set to do now. Please be aware that the union does not have a president nor representative until the Ministry of Labour and the Trade Union inaugurates the new committee next week in Abuja at the office of the Minister, until then keep praying for the union and do not deal with any group or individual till the outcome and if you have done so, please hold on to your commitments till you are sure.
