Angelina Jolie is playing Maleficent for the big screen.
And on Thursday it was announced Kristin Chenoweth will be filling the shoes of the same evil queen for the small screen, according to a Thursday report from The Hollywood Reporter.
The 45-year-old Broadway actress will be voicing the Disney villain for the live-action original TV movie Descendants.

The film will focus on a group of the teenaged children of a group of Disney villains.
The Hollywood Reporter added, 'Descendants is set in a present-day idyllic kingdom, with the benevolent teenage son of the King and Queen (Beast and Belle), Ben, poised to take the throne.'
It was added: 'His first proclamation: offer a chance at redemption to the trouble-making offspring of Cruella De Vil (Carlos), Maleficent (Mal), the Evil Queen (Evie) and Jafar (Jay), who have been imprisoned on a forbidden island with the other villains, sidekicks, evil stepmothers and stepsisters.'

Kristin's Maleficent will reportedly 'butt horns' with her onscreen daughter Mal, played by Liv and Maddie's Dove Cameron.
Booboo Stewart, Sofia Carson, Cameron Boyce and Mitchell Hope also have roles.
Kenny Ortega, who directed the High School Musical franchise, will direct and do the choreography with Paul Becker.
The movie will shoot in May and will debut on the Disney Channel in 2015.
Angelina's Maleficent comes out May 30.
Chenoweth is no stranger to Disney movies. She voices Rosetta in Tinker Bell And The Great Fairy Rescue and Tinker Bell And The Lost Treasure.
